I'm not exactly sure when I first heard of a salt lamp, but I felt a subtle change on the first day I plugged it in. I'm one of those people that LOVES to take long showers at the end of the day. It helps me think, unwind, and wash away the issues of the day. What I didn't know until recently is that showers give off negative ions, which increase levels of serotonin. And so do salt lamps!
When I turn on my little lamp each morning, it reminds me that small acts that may be imperceivable most of the time can be a tool for healing if we show up everyday.
