I love how James Clear explains the benefit of starting with just 2 minutes a day in this super short YouTube video. When I'm starting a new habit, showing up consistently for the first month is the hardest hurdle. I inevitably have a hard day or I'm feeling under the weather or something shifts in my schedule and throws off my grand plans. But do I always have 2 minutes? Of course. Would I rather be scrolling on my phone? Probably. And it's the effort of showing up that pushes me forward, that keeps me accountable to myself, and keeps my negative reel in check while working toward my goal... 2 minutes at a time.
